Boat Awning Measuring Instructions - Aft of the Mast

1: At a point 18 inches above the boom, measure from 2 inches behind the mast to the point you wish the Shadetree to terminate at the aft end of the boat. In the event that shrouds are aft of the mast, measure 2 inches behind the shrouds to your desired length. The backstay is as far back as you can go. The topping lift will pass through a Velcro closed split in the awning designed for this purpose.
2: Once you have your front edge and rear edge of the awning determined from step 1, you now measure for width. At the mast edge of the awning, measure from port lifeline to starboard lifeline. At the point aft where the awning ends, take the lifeline to lifeline measurement. Place these dimensions on the Shadetree Awning Fit diagram on the website and email to us for review. Using these dimensions, we will determine the proper canopy and wand frame size for your needs. In the event that the dimensions required do not conform to a standard Shadetree model, we will design a custom design to fit.
